See how the process works

We guide you through every step

Once you have placed your order, you will be contacted by our team to go through the process and answer any questions. Together, we plan the collection in a way that feels right for you.

When labour begins, you contact our team by phone. Our trained midwives and medical professionals are available 24/7 to guide you on what to do next and support you throughout.

If you have choose collection assistance from Cellaviva personnel, a trained stem cell collector will be assigned to your place of birth to carry out the collection and handle everything needed.

From planning to storage. Step by step.

01. Choose your plan

Select which stem cell sources you would like to store, along with your preferred options for storage and payment.

02. Add optional tests (if relevant)

You can choose to include additional tests, such as compatibility testing for family use, depending on your needs.

03. Receive your Cellaviva box

We send you a collection kit, the Cellaviva Box, with everything needed for the collection and safe transport to the laboratory. Our birth support team will then contact you for an introductory call to guide you through the process and answer any questions before delivery.

04. When labour begins

Bring your Cellaviva box with you and contact our team. We guide you on what to do next and stay available throughout.

05. Collection at birth

The stem cell collection takes place after the baby is born and the umbilical cord has been clamped and cut. The procedure is quick, safe, and does not interfere with delivery.

06. Transport to the laboratory

After collection, we arrange medical courier transport to ensure the material is transported safely and handled without unnecessary delay.

07. Laboratory handling and evaluation

All material is carefully received, analysed, and processed according to strict medical and laboratory standards before long-term storage.

08. Secure long-term storage

Approved samples are placed in secure cryogenic storage under controlled conditions, ready for potential future use.

09. Payment after validation

You only pay once the sample has been evaluated and approved for long-term storage.

10. Ready if needed

If your family ever needs access, we ensure the stored cells can be released quickly and safely for treatment, with full documentation and support throughout.

Prepared for long-term storage. Ready if needed.

At Cellaviva, all samples are carefully handled, prepared, and evaluated before being placed in long-term storage, regardless of whether the material comes from cord blood, cord tissue, or placenta.

Different types of material are managed in different ways, but always according to strict medical and laboratory standards. This ensures that what is stored is well documented, properly handled, and ready for potential future use.

For your family, this means clarity and confidence. If the stored material is ever needed, we ensure it can be accessed and delivered quickly and safely for treatment.
